Elate pencils produce minimal carbon in the production and disposal process. The lid is 100% aluminum. The California cedarwood is PEFC certified, guaranteeing sustainable forest management. While the labelling is water-based ink, the colored end-cap is made of Urethane Acrylate and nitrocellulose and is not biodegradable.

The aluminum lid of the pencil can be recycled. Pencil shavings can be disposed of in the garbage.
